When we think about the representation of ethnicity it’s important to remember Alvarado’s (1987) stereotypes in the representation of ethnicity and race; EXOTIC – DANGEROUS – PITIED – HUMOUROUS. A recent revision of this has added the SEXUALISED stereotype.
